SSP-Lotus-R3-Battle

    Tonight was the night of a full moon. Lotus could open her eyes and see. But even though she could see, she saw more than she thought she would that night. 

(That seedrian... no... that... imposter...Ramona... looked very strange. 
No one else seemed to notice the odd aura circulating her. 
She seemed normal, and when I approached her and asked how she was, her response seemed masked as well. 
But I knew something was wrong. 
I could see her real form in her shadow, casted from the moon. This person was actually human. 
Why she would cast a glamour upon herself to be a seedrian, I would not know. 
But her humanity isn't why I called her an imposter. 

Something...akin to claws... I vaguely would see appear now and then around Ramona's neck that evening. 
Her smile would instantly drop off her face after she talked to fellow contestants. Something was definitely up. )

Late in the night, Ramona had walked off into an open field far from the pageant hall, and Lotus had quickly followed. 
The grass shifted around them in the midnight breeze, and suddenly Ramona came to a stop. 
"I know you've been following me, pest." Ramona stated sinisterly. 
Lotus stepped out of the tall grass and took a confident stance. 
"Where are you going at this hour, miss Ramona?" Lotus asked. 

Ramona smirked, her sclera stained an inky black.... 
"No where." 
Ramona lifted her arm and pointed her finger at Lotus, and her eyes started to glow as green mist started forming around her hand. 
Lotus then noticed the green grass beneath her feet was suddenly dried and dead. 
"But you're going somewhere. To the morgue." 
Lotus started to feel herself sweat and she took up a fighting stance and held her palms out in the moon's light, gathering it in her hands. 
"You're an imposter. You're not Ramona, are you?!" 

Ramona's body started to laugh as she threw the green smoke at Lotus. She barely dodged and noticed as part of her stocking that touched it was starting to corrode. Was that stuff acid?! 
"You're foolish for following me out here, now no one can help you." 
Lotus snarled. "Ramona! Come to your senses!" And she threw her ball of light at her. 
Ramona dodged it and it dissipated as if it was a popped light bulb.
"I'm surprised at how few magic users there were at that place. It figures a magic user such as yourself would be able to see through me." 
Ramona commented. 

Lotus stayed silent, her eyes reflecting the moonlight brighter than ever. 
(If Ramona had an amulet, it would be easier for me to disperse the curse laid upon her... I'll have to get closer to her.) Lotus thought. 
Ramona cackled and threw up both her arms in the air, the green mist forming into hard spikes, and she yelled and clashed them down at the white haired seedrian. 
Lotus dodged all the spikes, all but one that nearly sliced off her hair, but when she tried to touch one of them to use as a weapon against Ramona, she yelled in pain and watched as the spike melted, and her hand was burning from the acidic liquid left behind. 

Lotus screamed when her feet were swept out from under her, and Ramona was suddenly crouched above her. 
"You can't beat me, darling. Its too bad you'll die out in a lonely field like this. Au Revoir!" 
Before Ramona could splash her face in acidic mist, Lotus had her moonlit energy sphere hidden within her left palm, and thrust it up into Ramona's chest as though she were an intangible ghost. 
Ramona screamed in agony, and green-purple fog escaped from her backside, and disappeared in the moonlight.

Ramona, now back in her human form, had suddenly slumped forward on top of Lotus, and Lotus pushed her off and caught her breath. 
"Miss Ramona- Miss Ramona!" Lotus called, gently shaking the unconscious human girl. 
"ugh... what?" Ramona rubbed at her eyes, trying to wake, when she suddenly got a hold of her surroundings and looked at her hands, she knew she was in trouble. 
"UH- Lotus, I uh- I can explain!" 
"Please do.." 

"See, I uh... I wanted to enter, but I knew it was only for seedrian, so I-" Ramona stuttered, but Lotus interrupted her. 
"No, I don't care about whether you're human or not. What happened tonight? It was if you were cursed..." 
Ramona suddenly looked shocked, and realization dawned on her. 
"Oh... oh my god... Lotus I- I'm so sorry, I could have... I WOULD have k-killed you..." 
"Shh, miss Ramona, what happened?" 

Ramona took a deep breath before explaining. 
"I... I must have... see, I uh... I'm a witch, or a wizard of sorts.... I brought some of my artifacts along with me to study them, but... I think one of them was cursed, it had me under some spell I wasn't able to break alone... I think I was being controlled or influenced... I don't know.. it must have been that enchanted mirror I brought with me, I was to see what it did, but.... such a big mistake I made... I put everyone in danger." 
Lotus patted her back reassuringly. "Don't blame yourself, Ramona. You thought the things you brought were harmless. You're allowed to slip up now and then. I only have a few scratches and burns, nothing my girlfriend can't fix for me." Lotus giggled. 

"Oh... ok. I ... oh..." Ramona realized she was still in her human form, so she closed her eyes to concentrate, and within in seconds, her seedrian form reappeared. "Are you... uh.... *sigh* they're gonna kick me out..." 
Lotus shook her head. 
"Not to worry, I won't tell a soul." 
"What are you gonna tell your girlfriend about those injuries though?" 
Lotus smiled and shrugged. "I'll tell her it was some accident in the kitchen." 
Lotus stood up and brushed herself off, but winced as her scorched hand brushed roughly over her skirt's fabric. 
Hissing out her pain, she clenched her fist and held it in front of herself. 

"I- I'm sorry, I don't know any healing spells off the top of my head." Ramona whispered. 
"Miss Ramona, its alright. I'm sure there's first aid kits back at the facility. Don't blame yourself, I'm a little bit cursed myself, you see. I can only see during a full moon. I know how frustrating it can be when you can't control something like that." 
Ramona nodded with a sad and small smile. She appreciated the understanding. 
"Well, we should definitely hurry back. We might not be safe out here, so far from everyone." 
Ramona nodded nervously. "Right.... thank you, Lotus." 
Lotus smiled sweetly and walked ahead. 
"You're quite welcome, friend."
